Last night at Willows Bookshop and Lounge, readers, writers, and supporters gathered to celebrate author Regina Bergen and the release of Dirty Laundry, the third book in her Small Town Dirt series.
Tonight was my first introduction to the world that Regina Bergen created, though I can tell the third book has been highly anticipated by readers. One attendee shared, “ I read the first one and immediately went to the bookshop to buy book two.” I am sure many readers of this series were impatiently waiting for book three. Well, happy to say it is finally here!
Bergen began the series with Dirty Hoe, which was released in May of 2024. Intending for it to be a stand-alone, but when she finished writing the first book, she became completely enamored by the small town and the characters that she created. Dirty Latte came shortly after being published in October of the same year. The 2nd book deals with heavier themes, Bergen warns.
With excitement building around the newest installment of the series, a release party was held at Willow Bookshop and Lounge, located in Wappingers Falls. Regina Bergen offered signed books, and anyone who purchased directly at Willows Bookshop and Lounge was entered in a raffle (hehe, I won one of them). The night also featured a themed coffee menu and food prepared by Chef Stef based on the real recipes you can find in the books!
With many readers eager to return to this small-town romance, this release party was the perfect way to showcase the excitement around the series. After hearing so much positive feedback from the evening's attendees, I am looking forward to diving into the books myself.
